What is Toyota Entune™?

The vehicles in the Toyota lineup are well known as some of the safest, most efficient, and most reliable cars on the road, but that’s not all they’re bringing to the roads near Normal. Most new models also come equipped with one of several different Toyota Entune™ systems, and once you’ve seen what they can do, you’ll have to experience their features in person!

Entune™ 3.0

Entune™ 3.0 is the latest iteration of this Toyota technology suite, which first appeared on the Prius during model year 2011. Today, the suite is available with the following features and technologies:

• Remote Connect: With Remote Connect, you can start your vehicle, locate your lost parking spot, and examine engine diagnostics from a distance.
• Dynamic Navigation: Those who upgrade with the Entune™ 3.0 Premium Audio suite will be able to take advantage of Dynamic Navigation. The technology is referred to as ‘Dynamic’ because it offers the most up to date map information and can help you explore a wide variety of points of interest, such as some of our community’s best restaurants.
• Wi-Fi Connect: When it comes to fun on the go, 4G LTE Wi-Fi is hard to beat! This technology is powered by Verizon and lets you connect to an endless stream of information and entertainment no matter where your adventures take you.

Entune™ Audio

Today, the basic Entune™ Audio package is standard on almost every new Toyota vehicle. Most models equipped with this package include a 6.1-inch or 7-inch touchscreen, and offer convenience and entertainment features that you’ll use every day:

• Bluetooth®: Whether you’re trying to play your favorite music or stay connected with colleagues on the go, Bluetooth® technology offers near-limitless utility. Once you’ve synced your smartphone, you’ll enjoy hands-free convenience on Morton and Springfield roads.
• Siri® Eyes Free: Entune™ also allows iPhone users to maximize the utility of their Toyota vehicle’s onboard computer. By integrating with Siri®, you’ll be able to take advantage of expanded voice controls and user-specific voice recognition.

Entune™ Audio Plus

In many upgraded configurations, Toyota Entune™ Audio is replaced by Entune™ Audio Plus, which generally includes a 6.1-inch or an 8-inch touchscreen. Drivers who choose a model with Audio Plus will receive all of the features in the base package, plus:

• SiriusXM® Satellite Radio: All models equipped with Entune™ Audio Plus are compatible with SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. What’s more, these models start out with a 3-month all-access trial.
• HD Radio™: High-definition sound, information on the music playing over the radio, and HD Radio™ traffic and weather updates make every drive more enjoyable. You’ll enjoy them all with this package.
• Scout® GPS Link: Toyota has made navigation technology more accessible by including the smartphone-based Scout® GPS Link on all models with Entune™ Audio Plus. It may not have all the features of the more advanced integrated navigation, but it will certainly help you get around Decatur and Springfield.
• JBL® Audio: In some cases, Entune™ Audio Plus also includes the JBL® package. With the latter, you’ll receive an advanced speaker system powered by Premium Surround Sound and GreenEdge™ Technology.

Entune™ Premium Audio with Navigation and App Suite

The most advanced Entune™ package may come with either a 6.1-inch or a 9-inch touchscreen, but the larger available screen isn’t the only reason it’s been a hit with our neighbors. Models equipped with this package also feature:

• Integrated Navigation: This advanced navigation system is based directly in your Toyota vehicle’s hard drive. Unlike the simpler Scout® GPS Link, it lets you take advantage of local searches and turn-by-turn directions without relying on your phone’s data plan.
• Entune® App Suite: The available App Suite upgrade transforms your vehicle’s touchscreen into something more similar to a fully-functional tablet. You’ll be able to take advantage of a wide variety of customizable apps, including those from Pandora®, iHeartRadio, OpenTable, and MovieTickets.com. It even lets you compare gas prices when you’re on the move!
